The African Labour Law Society has held two conferences since inception.
The first was held in September 2017 at Sun City, North West Province, South Africa and the second in September 2018 in Cape Town South Africa.

The third conference will be held in March 2020 in Gaborone, Botswana. The call for the papers for this conference will be circulated in May 2019.
The 3rd African Labour Law Society (ALLS) Conference will be held at The Grand Palm Hotel Casino and Convention Resort, Gaborone, Botswana on 27-28 March 2020. This coincides with the African Regional Congress of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law (ISLSSL). The central theme of the conference will be “Decent Work in Developing African Countries: Contemporary Legal and Social Challenges”. We look forward to your participation.
The Conference Committee, comprised of Pamhidzai Bamu, Rutendo Mudarikwa, Amah Afadameh and Prof Stefan van Eck are currently working on the programme.

A number of South and Southern African Universities, and the International Labour Organisation (Decent Work Team for Eastern and Southern Africa and Country Office), are arranging a conference that will honour the centenary of the ILO. The theme of the conference is:
